Incredibly Intricate Paper Cutting

“Wow!” This was my first impression when I saw this incredibly intricate paper cutting design by Hina Aoyama. I’m really attracted with her brilliant paper cutting artwork. Hina Aoyama, a Japanese artist living in France masterfully cuts details into sheets of paper to create these super fine, lacy, and fragile artworks. With just a simple pair of scissors, Aoyama is able to create super fine lacy-paper-cuttings like small butterfly wings, the fine script of a handwritten letter, and the details of a lotus flower.

With intense patience, attention to detail, and a steady hand, Aoyama’s distinctive technique results in these hand-cut masterpieces, created across the course of hours and sometimes months. Her designs truly amaze me; I have never seen such delicate and perfect paper cutting on the scale of Aoyama’s work, and I am particularly impressed with the cursive text cuts shown below. Just cannot imagine how much effort and patience needed to get that fine script of a handwritten letter. All her artwork truly inspired me to be patience and creative with artworks.

Like many other that inspires me, artworks need to be creative and significant to satisfy ourselves’ and Hina Aoyama, her artworks tells me that patience is the key of success. Like people always say, “Patience is virtue” or like in some movies, “Best thing comes when we wait”. With patience, I am able to take mistakes in my life and take them as lessons to be learned so that I can improve in future. Her artworks really require adequate amounts of patience and that is something I really need in order to make a great artwork.

The Incredibly Paint Girl from Malaysia

The lovely artist who makes mind blowing art from everyday objects like books, coffee, basketballs, and even candles. Who she is? She is a girl artist called Hong Yi from Malaysia that made a lot incredible paint around the world. Her latest artwork that is famous nationwide is the Adele portrait that she made by using hot candle wax. I can barely light a candle without burning myself silly and cannot even draw a straight line so I'm definitely beyond impressed at her ability to mold hot burning wax into a portrait of Adele's 21 album cover. The portrait is part of a 4-part project where she will involve the basic elements fire, water, wind and earth. As you can guess, this is fire.

Wow! It’s fire, how she do it with candle hot wax? This is Hong Yi’s answer: “This took about 2 weeks to plan out - I spent about a week looking for the right materials for it, and another week on working out how to use hot candle wax as my 'paint'. The art piece itself took about 7 hours to complete, and I think I used about 1500 candles!”. Can you imagine all the work it takes to actually burn 1500 candles? If it were me, I think I’ll break down and stunned looking at the ample amount of candles I have to deal with.

She has a few incredible artworks, which really amaze me and inspired me to be creative. Her artwork let me understand that it is not necessary to use only brush to create an incredible artwork; we can use everything in our daily life to create it out. When dealing with arts, anything and everything can be a tool for art.

This Jay Chou portrait was inspired by the opening and closing lines in Jay Chou's song. The singer tells a heartbreak tale of a lost romance with a girl from 1979 who time-traveled forward 20 years and met Jay in 1999, and they fell in love. She then went back to 1979 and sketched a portrait of him. My painting is meant to look like a sepia-toned old photograph to capture the essence of this story.

The project took about 12 hours to finish. Coffee is quite a challenging medium to use - too little water and the rings would not form easily, too much water and the rings would blend into each other, resulting in just a deformed pool of coffee. It had to wait for the lighter parts too dry up before stamping on the darker rings, or else the rings would not be visible. All her ideas really inspired me a lot. It tells me that it takes the right combination of water to paint out the perfect shades or striking colors of a picture. So, I am still practicing the balancing of water in painting with a hope someday I can be like her with her as my idol of inspiration.

Baby’s little story

Cute, princess, doll, precious, adorable, sweet, beautiful, pretty or may be lovely, words that can be use to describe babies. A baby’s charming smiles that always make my heart melt. I love everything about babies, the colorful life, colorful wearing, colorful room and even colorful things that baby uses. Baby’s smile, voices, daily usage will sometimes really inspired me; the first example is the incredible fairyland theme room for baby from Kidtropolis.

This amazing fairy bedroom takes captivating fairytale themes and brings them to reality. An indoor tree with life-size leaves, birdhouses, and flower shaped lamps, mushrooms, a bean stock, they are all here creating a fantastic environment. Everything in this kids’ room is eye-catching and original: the shelves, the bed-stairs, and the lockers. This room took about 4 months of prep work and a 5-day to install. I wish I could live in rooms like that when I was little…The special and amazing design really captures my attention and inspired me.

Besides that, kidtropolis also create a very amazing baby room that has also captured my attention which is the “Merry go Round” theme baby room.

This room was designed and installed to welcome twin boys to a beautiful magical world. This place is the perfect place for some amazing elements. The main focus of the room is the generously sized carousel housing 2 cribs and 2 custom detailed carousel horses.  These little boys can dream playful and whimsical dream in their own private carousel. Along the large window wall, the built-in storage is whimsically created as stacked letter blocks. Half of the blocks open providing storage ready for the entire toys and books twin boys could collect.  The blocks are stacked as if the boys had done it themselves ready to be played with repeatedly.

Kitropolis design always inspired me to be creative. The last design I was in love with is the baby room with the theme of “Sleep Baby Sleep”.

The room’s amenities create a personal and cozy space for this little princess: a fantasy carriage crib placed under a large oak tree with woodland animals watching over her, a cozy glider in which to snuggle and rock on late nights, and a beautifully upholstered floor to play on. In designing a nursery for your little princess or prince, there are five key components to consider which are theme, focus, storage, growth, and safety. How they inspire me you might ask? Well, the creation of these bedrooms tells me that my creation of every artwork tells a story or indicates a mood.

Therefore, I must always be in the right mood or portray the right mood for the right artwork in the place. Imagine if you were in a kid’s art exhibition and happen to paint a very dull artwork. Wouldn’t it kill the moods of the atmosphere? A right touch of the mood with the right color toning will satisfy your feeling make you feel proud of your accomplishments. Besides that, colors indicate moods and different gender wants different fantasy. A princess of a family would generally want her little palace to be pink and with all the unicorns she can have. Whereas the boys would always want to have fun on the carousel and all the blues making them feel like there’s lots of spaces for them. Boys typically would like to have more spaces for their “Prince story” and their adventurous fantasy. As relating this to me, I always make sure my artworks suit the mood of the theme. Aside from that, making sure the color is right for the artwork portrayed is something I always practice doing.

Desserts Story (Heaven’s gift)

Imagine that you are sitting in a tearoom with stenography interior decoration and a display while enjoying macaroons and a cup of luxury tea. Girls are always crazy for desserts, no matter where, when, what happened, what events. I’m crazy for every type of desserts, especially cakes, fruit pie and others. Every dessert has its story. Nevertheless, the most attraction for me is its mix and match recipes.

The most attractive dessert for me is the Austrian dessert, the Stollen cake. Hundreds of years like a day, modeling simple and complex practice, material proportion of the enthusiast, and this cake has only a few old pastry shop masters will do. In Austria, this Stollen cake has its scarcity value. Towards Connaught pastries Shop History Stollen cake is the source of the mysterious and delicious cake, it is said to taste, shape from the 19th century and has never changed, all handmade, only know that its ingredients are almonds, hazelnuts, sugar, chocolate and Austrian tortillas (Oblaten), only two instructors know the recipes and practice of this Stollen cake. The annual production of this Stollen Cake in the history is only 1300. Imagine the chances of you getting the taste of the cake when it is so limited and you’re not the only one wanting the taste of such heavenly delight.
The mix and match ingredients for the cakes inspires me to be creative and special in one way that it must be a significant indication of my creation. Like the Stollen cake, I always tend to think out of the box and do different things than the usual in order to attract and inspire people with my own work. It’s gives me the satisfaction from peoples appreciation to my work like the baker satisfy by customers appreciating his cake. Another dessert that is also in my attraction list is the Macaroons with colorful colors. They are small double-decker cakes, soft in the middle, offered in different flavors, colors and sizes. The taste will brighten your day, it's delicate and pleasant and the latest one, born last spring, is Bergamot.

The colors of the desserts and the mixture of the ingredients indicated to me that the color of attraction must also come with an amazing artwork. I wouldn’t want to picture myself eating an apple flavor macaroon while the color is purple, it complicates us and spoils our appetite. Just like drawing. Imagine all the striking color painted on a dull and poorly drawn picture. It will not beautify the picture in fact it indicates the downside of the picture. A right combination of lines and shades forming a perfect picture and the adding a dash of right colors will definitely paint out the best pictures like the right mixture with the correct color of the macaroons will bring out the best taste.

The Movie That Really Inspired Me

“Step up Revolution” is the movie that inspired me most. The flash mobs – in traffic, dancing on the roofs, hoods and trunks of low-rider vintage cars in Miami traffic, disrupting museum openings and a developer’s planning meetings – are brilliantly choreographed, well-shot, sharply edited treats.

Director Scott Speer from "The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers" knows where to point his camera and knows how to cut to the beat. Everything from parkour-style stunts and mime to salsa, crunking and interpretative dance is given its showcase here and tapping into flash mobs, those Internet-posted delights in which singers or dancers show up, en masse, and delight a mall, a train station or a city street? Inspiring.
The best part of the movie is when they are popping in the museum and dancing like jelly fishes under the blue light.
The freestyle dance inspired me to do everything in freestyle especially in my artwork. It indicates that there are many ways of solving things or doing things. Just like our daily schedule, we can change it everyday and not necessarily we have to live a dull and routine life all the time. The flash mobs, they give me the inspiration of everything can be done easily if we stayed together in groups. In other words, unity is power. In this movie itself, the dancers get together as one in order to let others know that they’re a force to be recon with. Same as in real life, goals and targets can be reached much easier when we do it in groups. Choreography of the movie such as the part where they’re dancing like jelly fishes in blue light tells me that a well planned project or work can turn out very well. In this case, planning is the key to a successful life. We must always make plans for ourselves’ in life.

Otherwise, we end up lost and oblivious of where we are heading to in life. I personally think that like choreography is important in movies, planning is also crucial especially to university students like me. This is because we are already steps away from going into the real world or society. This movie inspired me a lot and it was a very amazing movie.

The Amazing Fashion Illustrator

The fashion illustrator that I admire the most is Sandra Suy, she creates many delightful illustrations. I’m attracted to her brilliant artwork. Her style of drawing is influenced by classic fashion illustration and she like to think it is elegant and reflects a timeless beauty. When asked Sandra Suy, what inspired her when she’s doing her fashion illustrations? She answered, “It depends… There are days I cannot find the inspiration anyway and other days I have no time to express all that I have in my mind. I use to search on the internet; I love to do that, for me it is a wonderful source of inspiration and never ending info report. I like visiting fashion and decoration blogs, there are so many and so interesting! I also consult fashion magazines. Walking down the street is also a great source of inspiration for me.”

One of the illustrations I like the most from her is the picture below:

Here are few nice illustrations from her too:

The illustrations that she creates inspired me a lot when I want to start my drawing or even coloring. Her fashion illustrations are amazing. Her technique that she used for these drawing inspired me while drawing and coloring. The perfect and right combination of both drawing and coloring is vital to create an amazing artwork. I too, wished I had such talents. Therefore, I am improving myself in drawing and coloring with a mindset thinking that one day I might paint out a picture as good as she is.

The Colorful Typewriter

Washington-based painter Tyree Callahan modified a 1937 Underwood Standard typewriter, replacing the letters and keys with color pads and hued labels to create a functional “painting” device called the Chromatic Typewriter. Callahan submitted the beautiful typewriter as part of the 2012 West Prize competition, an annual art prize that is determined by popular vote. I do not know how practical painting an image with a color typewriter is, but if Keira Rathbone can do it, so can I. I believe in creativity as this color typewriter inspires me that not all creativity must be of the same thing or of the same formula.

There’s no fixed definition of creativity of a certain field. Therefore, I feel that we don’t have to just rely on pencils or color pencils to paint a picture. In other words, we have to think out of the box when we start thinking of creativity.

Aside from all that, we must neither fear of failures nor laughter of people who feels that our creation is inferior or of no use. Because we will never know that someday this idea of ours will work out as a piece of art like this typewriter. Who would have thought that a machine which initially is only meant for typing words could be change to be made for coloring. A brilliant idea of creativity will not always be the same for others. I would like to think that if our ideas are not different from others, then there’s not much creativity in it.

These colorful color really can make our life more colorful and happier.

The Amazing Charcoal Dust Art Work With Finger-Painted

I have discovered the work of Judith Braun about a year ago and I started to admire her and her works, which uses her bare hand to finger-paint the spectacular landscape painting. Her painting inspire me when I wanted to draw something with a pencil, this had made me come to terms that we have a lot of alternative ways to draw out what we want, just as her, she draws with her fingers.

Can you believe Judith Braun used her bare hands to finger-paint this spectacular landscape painting?  Braun’s work recently exploded in both scale and complexity, shifting from the abstract to the literal in this new mural entitled Diamond Dust.

The piece was painted over several days in February in front of a live audience at the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, Virginia using fingerprints created from the fine powder of ground charcoal. The whole piece is 12 feet by 48 feet and considering the fact that Braun incorporated her finger-drawing technique makes the piece all the more impressive.

The most precious of all – the “WEDDING DRESS”

My favorite wedding dress designer is none other than Vera Wang .I think Vera Wang designs the most wonderful and special wedding dresses, she indicatively loves to play with many special colors. All these special colors really inspire me to be creative when I color or paint a picture. When I color every single picture or image, I will think of her design that encourage us to think out of the box especially when comes to color.

I really wish to wear her designed wedding dress during my big day. Many of the brides will choose the traditional colors for their wedding dress such as white, pink, purple etc. White color will generally be chosen by most bride. Many will not consider any of the color that will break the tradition, such as dark color or either pale color. Actually, these unique colors will really brighten up your big day, as those people had never seen before such colors as a wedding dress.

“They came one after the other, first in deep, warm shades of nude and then in spellbinding noir. Pleated, distressed, layered fabrics winding mysteriously around the body culminating in a visual feast in deepest, darkest black,” This describes Vera Wang work her magic again on her wedding dress design. Pitch black. Pitch perfect.

Light, airy, concoctions of froth, inspired by black and nude undergarments, both mysterious and sexy, frivolous and fun, with transparent wisps of carefully organized tulle. These two colors have broken the tradition but it still really fabulous and mysterious.

Last season Vera Wang's wedding dresses wowed me all with her "Witchcraft" inspiration and black and nude color palette, and I must say I adore this season's rosy progression. Moving from the brightest red to the deepest chocolaty burgundy, Vera Wang's collection was named "Mei Meng" (Chinese for "beautiful dream") and described by the designer like this: "Beautiful dream. The symbolism of Red.  Boldly romantic, charming, protective, grand, seductive, and sexy. From dahlia to scarlet, crimson and vermilion. A celebration of love." Bold, seductive and romantic is right! These red wedding dresses are all wow factor. All of the bride should try all these special colors. Vera Wang really inspires me to be creative, either doing my assignment or doing everything in my life. We can’t be doing the same thing or using the same way to do things in our life. We should always change, implement to make our life more interesting and prefect.

Marriage Aisle, the Most Profound Journey

Marriage is a very sophisticated knowledge. The concept of marriage means different things to different people. For me, and generally for most of the girls, marriage is a very important stage that every girl has to pass through and even their dreams. Marriage is for couples who were so full of life, so completely in love and had such an amazing energy in them. Every girl dreams for the ideal, fairytale, wonderful, dreamt wedding ceremony, and the grandest wedding dinner once in the lifetime. Mindy Weiss and Rebecca Stone are the two famous wedding planners that inspired me a lot in my creativity through their design of each wedding and their combination of colors of every different themes of the wedding. They always create a lot of unique and wonderful theme wedding decoration. They are also the wedding planner that I admire the most.

Rebecca Stone turns wedding planning into a fun, creative process that is a celebration in its own right. Combining her passion for food, wine, flowers and fashion with her brilliant ability to help you define your dreams, she gracefully guides you through all the steps of making your wedding celebration a beautiful expression of your unique relationship. These are some of her wedding decoration that I love the most:

I absolutely love this idea for wedding by Rebecca Stone of Duet Weddings. This idea is a great idea for outdoor wedding with plenty of spaces and it feel connected to nature, is a wild garden setting wedding. Just with all, simply spray paint the frames all one color and use ribbon rather then string for a more formal, dressed up look. If would be a great way to decorate an empty wall.

Delightfully warm, funny and engaging, and at the same time, ultra organized and exquisitely focused, Mindy Weiss, a genius at turning wishes into spectacular events. Mindy Weiss is a wedding planner extraordinaire, and she is an author of one of the best wedding planning books ever. She was also involved in the field to be an artist with a brilliant line of fun and fashionable products. Some of her wedding event design that I love it so much:

Chivalric chairs, a bed of white petals, and dendrobium orchids hanging from the tree that designed by Mindy Weiss. It will be the most romantic moment where the groom proposed. It is an outdoor ceremony and it amazing.

Purple and white theme wedding that really catches my eyes .It is a very elegant wedding theme.

The walk down the aisle symbolizes one of the most profound journeys we take in life. It is the culmination of all of life's experience into one moment as you take a step slowly from one life into another. In that moment when all eyes are on you, when everyone is thinking how beautiful you look, when the photographer is snapping away, you are the most blissful bride in the world. The aisle is the most important things in the wedding. The aisle is the place girls dreamt to pass through. The catchy color of the decoration, the unique of the theme, all inspire me to be a very creative people, either in doing my homework or even part of my daily life. It teaches me that some things don’t last forever or they’ll only come by once in your lifetime. Therefore, we have to make the best out of everything and put out our best foot forward in order to have a creative work. As like Rebecca Stone and Mindy Weiss making dreams come true, it tells me that if I can dream it, I will be able to do it.

Singing, the PARADISE of mine

Hmm… Singing, one of my favorite things I would like to do all day long. Singing is such an important part of my life. I was the shy little girl in my primary choir class that scared to sing aloud because everyone around me sounded so well, that make me not daring to sing out and I wanted a voice like that. However, I like to sing in my room because nobody will hear it. Until, I entered secondary school and started go for KTV with my close friend and I sang, they praised me. On that day, I just realize that I have a good voice. Since then I started to sing everywhere, every time whenever I want to sing.

Singing has been a part of my life since I was born. My father likes to take part in any singing competition and I am the little girl that loves to listen to his strong voice when he is practicing. I always remember the unique melody and the greatest voice that always channels in my mind since I was small. Singing is also an art that can inspire me in much kind of creative things in my family and my daily life.

Singing also related with music. For me, “no music, no life”. I always like to achieve greater freedom with my voice and help myself and friends that also like to sing to become a more empowered human being with my singing. Sometimes I use singing to release stress and sadness. For me only singing can really release stress no matter with a great voice or a normal voice. I find singing amazing because sometimes when you come across a song, it really touches you, and you wish to sing it out. Sometimes you just want to sing from the top of your lungs or just in a whisper and it just feels that like you are releasing your emotions out there somewhere and it would make you feel good and relieved. This is because sometimes word just cannot describe how you really feel, but screaming aloud in a melodic way would really make it amazing.

My first song that I perform in front of public is ‘How do I live’ by Leann Rimes. Everybody like to ask me that, imagine you have a greater voice than you have today, what would you do with it? Actually, I did not really consider about this question. Because, everybody got his or her own unique voice and this voice is a gift from the nature. However, for now, if I really have to answer it, I would answer that if I really have a greater voice, I would like to perform to the whole world to share the great voice that is given to me.

Island of Colours

Burano Island, a place full of happiness and a colorful fairy tale world that I wish to have my long holidays there one day. Burano located in Venice. The island has known for its colorful houses, where residents can follow their favorite color to paint their own house, so this island also called as “multicolor island”. I love this place so much; it seems to be in paradise. Children dart freely with their bicycles, balconies with multicolored flowers, fishermen who put up fresh fish from their traditional boats.

The typical Burano’s houses are mainly squared-shaped and divided into two or three floors. The matching colors of the house are so unique and prefect, I like it so much. How these brightly coloured buildings inspired me? The colours that paints every block uniquely on the favor of their owners tells me that everybody has their own colour as in their own talent or natural beauty. It inspires me that it’s ok for everyone to be individually different.

Burano is also a lace making paradise, lace that so popular among the clothing fashion now. They also use lace to do the mask for the Venice mask carnival. Their lace is mostly white in color. Lace can use for many purposes, such as handcraft, wedding gown, tablecloth, umbrella and even clothing for today. Lace also one of the art materials, I, as an art lover, lace and color also help me a lot in my artwork. All the laces nicely decorated tell me that a presentable look attracts and catches the eyes of the audience. Such presentable looks brings out outer confidence and elegance in oneself as they dress up to impress.

Aurora Borealis- The Unpredictable Moment

One of the things that I must experience in my entire life is to see the most amazing and the most glorious scene-The northern light in Norway; it also called as the Aurora Borealis. I saw a magazine that displayed an article about the Aurora Borealis today that inspired me while I’m waiting for the other lecturer to start. These lights inspires me to be unique with my creativity in order to catch the attention of others like the secretive aurora that has captivated so many people's eyes. Like the aurora, unique creativity stands our amongst others like the aurora brightens the skies with her lights.  These northern lights are like a greenish white ribbon stretching across the sky and normally with waves in them. Those greenish white ribbons tend to be near with the northern. They contain many parallel rays, running across their width if you see closely with it.

There are two things about those rays. One, the bright ones fade while dim ones brighten instead-a bit like flames in a fireplace. Some auroras are deep red, and these may be just a shapeless glow. Second, the direction of those rays is related to the magnetism of the Earth.

I will never ever miss this mystical moment. The best place to see the glorious aurora borealis is at the northern Norway. The lights are at their most frequent in late autumn and winter or in the early spring. The best time or chance to be spotting the light is on the 21st September -21st March.

The northern light is just like the secretive woman. We will never get to predict when she decides to turn up to show her beautiful and unique appearance. She hates to appear in the full moon. Therefore, we have to avoid the full moon. If we are lucky, we have the chance to see her several times in one day. This secretive woman likes to turn up in the driest weather and in the clear skies.

There are some legends about this Aurora Borealis. Aurora is goddess of the dawn in the Roman mythology. Aurora is the sister of the sun goddess and moon goddess. Aurora is very sad about the loss of her lover and her son. Her tears turn into dew. If you see the morning dew on the petals, is the validation of her grief. Her happiness always brings the luminous green ribbons that we see as the northern light. For the ancient legends of the Eskimos, Aurora is the torch that prepared by Schering to illuminate the road to paradise.

Some people said that, people that saw the Aurora would be happy and blissful forever. And I, am going to  find my own Aurora someday.

The beauty of Aurora Borealis:

The explanation of the Aurora Borealis:

Under the Sole Lies a Beauty

The ancient said:”Everyone should have a pair of good shoes, because this pair of shoes will bring you to the most glorious place”.

I love to collect shoes, until now I have already collected almost 35 pairs of shoes. Shoes are one of the important daily usages. Shoes meant a lot to me, different types and colours of shoes inspires me colour and design matching in my daily life. It's amizing how such small pair of shoes that is situated on your sole can play such a big role that changes a person from self-esteem all the way to how it affects the dressing of women. Today, shoes are also a symbol of fashion. Have you ever wondered what type of pattern and style the first pair of shoes look is like? The first pair of shoes was anything grabbed on hand (flat bark, large leaves, and perhaps bundles of weeds), with rattan or tough long bale in the foot. In the olden days, “shoes" may not be very beautiful, but very practical. "Sandals" is one of the oldest artificial productions of footwear.

In ancient Greece, a shoe symbolizes the difference between slavery and freedom. Greek philosopher Plutarch wrote, "Barefoot", is a sign of abject slaves. Historically speaking, the shoes reflect the wealth; used to determine a person's social status, and even religion.“High Heels” that girls are crazy for in this 21st century already created in the 16th century. At first, the heel produced in a very practical need in order to avoid the skirts from wet rain, mud and snow. Now is just for the purpose of fashionable. For me, every shoe had it unique purpose, unique style and even wonderful color that can lighten up our life.

I’m very particular in what types of shoes I’m wearing like what is the shoes outfit. A person’s shoe can tell you all you need to know —example: how a person takes care of his shoe’s cleanliness says a lot about him or her.  If the shoes are clean and bright enough, then it is quite evident that the person is well mannered and takes immense care of himself or her self and the place he or she lives in. In my opinion, if you are a woman trying to judge a man by his shoes, you can rest assured that a man with clean shoes will take care of you as well. Shoes can also show a person characteristic; people who prefer to wear sandals are generally free birds who would like to be out of bound. This person love to travel outdoor. Besides that, in my opinion, shoes like relationships. We need to find the right fit shoes for ourselves’ and is comfortable. When it comes to relationships, the wrong fit of shoes will hurt more than ‘just a little.’”

My favorite shoes:
